Nguyen Chi Vinh seriously ill, like former State President Tran Dai Quang

Since last month, the online community has spread rumors that former Defense Deputy Minister Nguyen Chi Vinh has a strange disease and is in poor health. Rumors said it was possible that Vinh “knows too much” that he must be silenced. He was reported to have fallen ill after Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh. Such information remains without a picture to prove it.

Recently, the online community has shared a picture of Nguyen Chi Vinh that looks very different. Most of his hair fell out, leaving only a few loose strands. His face was pale and lifeless, he looked like a person receiving radiation therapy, so rumors about Nguyen Chi Vinh falling ill can be trusted.

Mr. Nguyen Chi Vinh’s image on television recently

On August 31, Vietnamnet online outlet published an article “The Third Life and the Moral in the intelligence profession through the book of Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh” which praises him. The pictures in the newspaper are all old pictures, there are no new photos of Mr. Vinh.

Before Mr. Tran Dai Quang died, he also appeared on television with a very lifeless image. It is unclear what medicine was given to Mr. Quang, but Mr. Quang worked until September 20, 2018, that is, only one day before his death.

Specifically as follows, on September 18-19, 2018, at the headquarters of the Party Central Committee, Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong chaired a meeting of the Politburo to give opinions on projects prepared to be submitted to the 8th Plenum. At that time, Mr. Tran Dai Quang also attended. Continuing, on the afternoon of September 19, 2018, Mr. Quang received the Head of the delegation of Asian Supreme Audit Institutions, on the occasion of attending the 14th Congress of the Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions of Asia (ASOSAI) and then received Mr. Chu Cuong, Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court of China visiting and working in Vietnam. On September 20, 2018, Mr. Tran Dai Quang also signed a letter to wish the Mid-Autumn Festival. However, on September 21, 2018, Mr. Quang passed away.

The fact that Mr. Nguyen Chi Vinh with a pale face and lack of vitality, was put on television, made many people compare that Mr. Nguyen Chi Vinh was similar to the case of Quang. Perhaps, Vinh is Tran Dai Quang’s version 3.0. Because Tran Dai Quang’s version 2.0 is Le Van Thanh.

The story of Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh suffering from a “strange illness” and passing away has just subsided, now it has resurfaced Nguyen Chi Vinh. Vinh is a retired general, he should have retired safely. But it seems, even though he retired, the risk still came.

In the 2002-2009 period, when he was still the General Director of General Department 2, Nguyen Chi Vinh was considered the king of one realm. As the head of the military intelligence agency, Vinh not only held state secrets, but he also held many secret stories of comrades in the Party Central Committee, and especially the Politburo members. The person with the most information is the strongest.

In 2009, Nguyen Chi Vinh left the General Intelligence Department  to hold Deputy Defense. Nguyen Chi Vinh’s goal was to become a Minister. However, in 2016, Vinh lost to Ngo Xuan Lich. Then in 2021, he failed again against Phan Van Giang. Then he retired. Most of the retired officials are considered “tiger with broken fangs“, so no one kills anymore. However, with the case of the former head of the military intelligence agency, it is different, and it is not safe for others because he knows too much. The image of Nguyen Chi Vinh today shows that it is likely that Vinh will be the next official to die, after Le Van Thanh.

Since ancient times, doing politics is defying tricks. A regime that emphasizes transparency, the safer it is for politicians. Because if someone use dirty tricks, it is easy to be exposed to the light, so everyone is afraid to obey the rules of the democratic game. As for the dictatorship, it is different, this regime is concealed, so politicians can defy tricks to destroy each other. That is why in recent years, high-ranking officials fall ill and die unnaturally. Communist officials defend their regime, and one day, they too will be crushed by it in the most brutal way.
