Vietnamese protest plan to teach Chinese in elementary schools, Propaganda uses police to threaten

Minister Nguyen Kim Son decides to let children learn Chinese

On December 1, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son issued Decision No. 4119/QD-BGDDT, on approving textbooks for grade 5, along with Chinese textbooks for the grade 3 and grade 4 used in general education establishments.

Faced with the possibility of their children being forced to learn Chinese, many parents have spoken out against it.

It is known that recently, the Ministry of Education and Training decided to remove English from the high school graduation exam. That is, the Ministry of Education considers foreign languages as optional subjects, but no longer considers English as a mandatory subject. That is consistent with the general trend, because many people are forced to learn English, but do not touch English their whole life, even though English is the most common language for different cultures to connect.

If English is a subject of choice, then other languages must be similar, allowing students to decide whether to study or not.

Faced with protests from parents of students about the introduction of Chinese into elementary school teaching, the Ministry of Education and Training seemed to be hit at a vital point, they jumped up like leeches in lime. On December 5, the press simultaneously published articles with identical content, with threatening words used in “revolutionary violence.” The article asks the police to investigate those who oppose Nguyen Kim Son’s decision. They said that people “misrepresented” the minister’s decision to approve Chinese textbooks.

The fact that a series of newspapers are published at the same time, with the same content, is not an order from Nguyen Kim Son, but an order from the person with the highest power in the party. A petty minister cannot direct the Head of the Central Commission for Propaganda and Education or order the state-controlled press to protect him. Some people think that the Ministry of Education and Training is too hasty and overreacted. However, if you look closely, he cannot cause the entire party to react in unison like that.

Only the General Secretary’s direction can lead to such synchronization.

In 2017, Nguyen Phu Trong went to China and signed 15 documents with Xi Jinping, including one assigning China to train Vietnamese leaders. Up to now, phase 1 has passed and the Chinese side has trained more than 1,500 officials for the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training recruited people to send to China for training on scholarships granted by China. This is not training cooperation, but Nguyen Phu Trong assigned the entire Party to Xi Jinping to “plant cadres.”

Of course, the Ministry of Education and Training argues that teaching Chinese is teaching a foreign language, like any other foreign language. However, if you put it together, the story is not that simple.

For example, when teaching Japanese and Korean, does the Party force officials to go to Japan and Korea to study, so that they can return to work in the government apparatus? Teaching Chinese from a young age, and entrusting the entire Party to China for training, are two sides of the same problem. That is the process of Chineseization, starting from the Party apparatus, to the state apparatus, and then to the entire people.

Once the Communist government’s evil plot is discovered, they will frantically fight back. They will use every means to crush the will of the people. Because, if it was just because the people “misunderstood” the Party’s intentions, the Party wouldn’t have needed to get mad and demand the use of the police to punish them like that. Simply put, the Party just needs to write a clear explanation in the press and that’s it.

It’s such a simple thing, why is the Party angry? Or is it that the Party has a problem, but people poked fun at the very problem that the Party wanted to cover up, so the Party is fighting back crazily? The act of frantic resistance is also a sign of the Party’s unrighteousness.
